Newsletter: September 2016
Dear parents,
你好!
The students at Grade 7 Chinese class at Oak have been very busy reviewing the content we learned last year in the first week of school. Students did a great job on describing their friend/sibling with a mini writing project. Besides, students are exciting about learning American/Chinese food and drinks. They now know how to express hunger and thirst in Chinese and are learning how to order their favorite food in a restaurant. We’ll practice holding chopsticks with some fun activities next week. Students will be requested to make a restaurant skit later this month for the chapter oral assessment.
We’ll also use Schoology on a regular base for homework and communication outside the classroom as well. Schoology is a safe place for students and teacher to connect and collaborate. Parents can set up an account to monitor student’s progress and homework on the subject. I’ll send more information regarding setting a parent’s account later.
Please let me know if you have further questions regarding Chinese study. Feel free to contact me through school email if you would like to discuss your child’s progress in Chinese learning.
Yours Respectfully,
ChinHuei Yeh
