Newsletter: December 2016
Dear Parent,
Ni Hao!
For the past a couple weeks, Grade 7 Chinese students have learned how to tell time in Chinese. Currently, students are learning how to describe daily activities. They are able to identify the basic action vocabulary by listening, such as getting up in the morning, having breakfast, taking shower, doing homework and so on. Next week students will combine time and action words to create their daily schedule. At the end of this chapter, they will make infographics to display their daily schedule and present their own work in class.
Please remind your child checking homework at Schoology in the evening. In addition to announcing homework in class, I post homework at Schoology every day. It is important that student submits homework in a timely manner at middle school in order to be ready for the academic challenge in the higher grades.
Again, please take advantage of the tutoring service on most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4 PM. We are meeting at Oak Middle School Chinese class Room 333. Please contact me through email a couple days ahead if your child is planning to attend this after school activity.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions and concerns on your child’s progress. Thank you for your continuous support!
Respectfully,
ChinHuei Yeh
